Hello! I am a freelance fashion designer from Scotland with now 7+ years in the Fashion industry starting off with a bachelors degree in fashion from Herriot-Watt.

Before going freelance, I held the position of Fashion Designer where I was solely responsible for a company’s collections, design concept to production. I designed A/W and S/S collections, as well as their Ramadan collections and their capsule collections for specific buyers. I gained a lot of industry knowledge throughout my years and it has proved I can adapt to situations and work well in a time critical environment. I really enjoy the opportunity and challenge of being involved in the multi-faceted areas of the business. 

In addition, I have worked within a variety of fashion fields. This includes womenswear, kids wear and costume for performance. This taught me to always work with my customer in mind, but also has given me the specific knowledge of each field’s design perimeters.

My terms of my personal designs my main forms of inspiration comes from my travels around the world, as I have been born and brought up in Dubai but also lived part time in Thailand, Canada and the UK. I feel like this has given my work a different perspective and allows me to be creatively diverse. 

Becoming freelance gave me the opportunity to reach out and adapt to the way the world works now. I want to be a resource and share my knowledge with designers. I support and guide a designer through all the steps of building a collection from design development, to detailed tech packs for production.
